¡Es la economía! Evolución de la Vitivinicultura Canaria en la primera década del siglo XXI

Resumen:
Desde las décadas finales del siglo XX, en Canarias se ha podido observar una recuperación del sector vitivinícola de la mano, por una parte, de unos agricultores y bodegueros que han sabido mantener una tradición secular que se remonta a los mismos años de la incorporación del Archipiélago a la corona de Castilla. Por otra, y de vital importancia, por la ingente ayuda recibida de las administraciones públicas, tanto de manera directa como indirecta. Sin embargo, esta trayectoria parece haber tocado techo con el cambio de centuria, cuyos primeros ejercicios muestran una tendencia negativa. La falta de rentabilidad de las bodegas estaría detrás de este comportamiento.

Abstract:
From the last decades of the twentieth century, a recovery of the wine sector has been observed in the Canaries. On the one hand, because of the existence of some farmers and winemakers who have maintained a secular tradition that goes back to the incorporation of the archipelago to the crown of Castilla. On the other hand, because of the important support received from public authorities, both directly and indirectly. However, this trend seems to have peaked at the turn of century, whose first years show a negative trend. The lack of profitability of the wineries would be behind this behaviour.
